Traveller Support NetworkWe are currently building a U.K. wide traveller support network to deal with the racism that travellers are subject to. Our activities include human rights monitoring during evictions, conflict resolution, speaking out at events, conducting forums, and providing some balance to the racist media images which are all to common. Join our email list to help. Thus far, Cambridge, Ipswich, Norwich and London have support nodes, and we welcome the participation of other groups. Send an email to tsn (at) lists.activix.org or info (at) travellersupport.org.uk, for more information, or contact one of the local groups below. Local groups

Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed"The oppressor is solidary with the oppressed only when he stops regarding the oppressed as an abstract category and sees them as persons who have been unjustly dealt with, deprived of their voice, cheated in the sale of their labor - when he stops making pious, sentimental, and individualistic gestures and risks an act of love. True solidarity is found only in the plenitude of this act of love, in its existentiality, in its praxis." User login |
